The debate stage was set. Lindsey “Linds” Graham in the center, with John Kosoick on his left, and the Alternate Reality Jim Gilmore (ARJG) on his right. The others on the left included Jeb!, The Donald, and Scott Walker. Those on the right side were Ted Cruz, Science Man (formerly known as Ben Carson), and George Pataki.

Off to the side, those that had participated in the undercard debate, were Rick Santorum, Robert Jindal, Carly Fiorina, Our Universe’s Jim Gilmore (OUJG) and Marco Rubio. They got to sit and watch as the big boys were asked the real-candidate questions. Rand Paul had been missing for two weeks, and a massive search party still had not brought any results, so he was not present at the debate.

“Okay, candidates,” the moderator said. “You know the rules. When addressed, you have exactly twenty-five seconds to answer the question. Then if you bring someone up, they get two minutes to rebut your claim.”

“Is everyone ready…” the other guy next to the moderator, who may have also been a moderator, not sure, began. “TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!”

-What is America?

Well, America is a really cool country. It has a population of over 300,000,000, and it’s been around for nearly 250 years! Wow! You’ve probably heard it; it used to be very popular. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally coming back, and it’ll be better than ever.

I’m Larry Lessig, and I’m a former Harvard law professor. But right now, I’m President of the United States. Of America. Yeah? Yeah. I believe in America, and that it’s going to have a great many years ahead of it.

America is great. Lately it’s got a lot of debt, though. And debt is keeping us from doing lots of cool stuff. America has a lot of features but it won’t be able to reach its full potential when it owes so much money; it would have to be released in early beta and be in Early Access development for years before it could finally show its true glory.

“And that, my fellow Americans, is why black people smell funny,” Donald Trump said into his microphone. The audience erupted into a deafening crash of noise, equal parts cheers and boos. He looked at them with a smirk, shrugging off the protests of his opponents both literally and figuratively. “You know what I’m gonna do? I’m going to build a wall to keep all the Muslims out and I’ll make the President of ISIS pay for it!”

“Mr. Trump…” the moderator tried to get his attention.

“And seriously, what’s the deal with those gays?” Trump continued.

“Mr. Trump. Your time is up, we have to move-”

“I mean, I’m surprised that Senator Graham’s stance on gay marriage is so strict. All I’m saying is that I expected different, ya know? With that voice of his?”
